Flamenco dance classes in Seville :

The art of flamenco was born in Andalusia in a marginal and persecuted community where jews, Arabs, christians and gypsies lived side by side. Flamenco represents a unique mix of all these influences, forged over centuries under the andalusian sun by people determined to escape their poverty via dance and music. There are 3 forms: Cante – song, Baile – dance and Guitarra – the guitar.

Programme :
All year round, we propose flamenco courses in the heart of Seville:
- Dance courses : Choreographic work on Flamenco dance steps.
- Technique courses : Coordinating the movement of different parts of the body reinforces the basis of Flamenco dance.
Dance and Technique courses are distinctly different except in the case of absolute beginners.

- Compas and palmas courses (the art of hand-clapping).
Controlling rhythm is the basis of flamenco music.These classes can be taken in conjunction with classes in guitar and in dance.
Each student will follow courses which correspond best to his or her level.
You can combine Flamenco courses and Spanish language courses.

Courses start on Mondays and are limited to 7 students.

Accommodation will be in shared apartments (single or double rooms) with access to kitchen and bathroom. The flats are within the historic centre of Seville, near the Flamenco school.

Tariff :
- Dance courses : 1 and a half hours per day from Monday to Friday plus accommodation in shared apartment for 6 days : 370€
- Technique courses : 1 and a half hours per day from Monday to Friday plus accommodation in shared apartment for 6 days : 370€
- Compas and Palmas workshops : 10 hours of individual lesssons plus shared acccommodation for 6 days : 391€
