The association La Huerta Libre offers a "light earth-straw" construction workshop
with Olivier Scherrer

Dates: August 7 and 8, 2021
Location: In Moissac, Vallée Française, in the French Cévennes.

Hours: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., break from 12 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
10 participants max, children welcome.


These two days will be dedicated to the discovery and understanding of natural building materials such as earth and plant fibers.
Olivier Scherrer * will lead the construction of walls from a wooden frame.
A great opportunity to learn in the joy of a collective work site and to advance the construction of a small building which will later house other courses.

Price: a participation of 50 € for the two days will be requested.
If you want to sleep on site, it is possible to pitch your tent in the meadow or park your truck on the ground.
Saturday lunch and dinner and Sunday lunch are offered as well as Sunday morning breakfast.
You can decide to arrive during the week before the workshop, in which case you will be hired a few hours a day for the preparations. During these periods, we will share the preparation of meals (vegetarian basis provided) and general stewardship.
