Detailed programme
This programme includes:
- A Cuban popular dance course: Cuban salsa/popular styles (hits, cha-cha, mambo, pilón, comparsa, casino-salsa, rueda). 2 levels.
- An Afro-Cuban dance course: Occidente styles (oricha yoruba…) and Oriente styles (“free-Haitians”).
Options: Cuban percussions and Afro-Cuban singing
It is possible to make a complete course of dance, percussion or another instrumental practice, or to mix music and dance.
Professors are all Cubans and are selected for their competence and their experience of teaching dance courses. They belong to the important traditional groups of Cuba or teach in the national school of Arts.
Reorganized each year, the training course allows a privileged contact with the musicians and dancers. The relationship with the Cuban population is established on the best possible bases.
The courses combine a programme of discovering musical richness. Participants are in contact with the music, the dance and the Cuban culture every day, such as concerts and peñas, congas, view of the Cuban instruments, vieja trova, Yoruba Ceremony!
Day 1:
Welcome at the airport, transfer and settling in with the host family.
Cocktail party to welcome the new participants.
Days 2 to 7:
Breakfast 8.30
Classes from 10 to 12: 2 hours of salsa every day with local professional dance teachers plus a dance partner for each student, in a dance hall near where the student is staying.
Free time for lunch
Guided visit in the Havana city in the afternoon.

Location
The dance hall is located in the heart of the Havana, near the monuments
of the city. A few minutes from the Capitole, the Place of the Revolution and the Havana Vieja area.

Accommodation
Homestay accommodation with local families.
Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Double or single room (supplement for a single room 80€).
You will have a half board accommodation: breakfast and dinner with your host family.
