    Detailed programme

As a holiday leader for people with mental disabilities at "Différences Vacances Adaptées" (under the authority of a holiday manager, responsible for organizing the holiday, helping you and supervising your work), you will be required to accompany handicapped people throughout the day, from getting up to going to bed, while visiting different regions in France. You will need to be fully available throughout the day to meet the expectations of the participants.

You will be accompanying category A disabled people, who are sociable and dynamic and have no motor problems. These people can wash, dress, eat and go out on their own. However, you will need to supervise their shopping and medication.

You'll be working as a summer camp leader, starting in the morning to get up and finishing in the evening after bedtime. Saturday is the busiest day of the week, with transportation, departures, arrivals and the various administrative tasks involved (papers, pocket money, medication, clothing inventories, settling into rooms, etc.). A night presence is imperative (but not an active watch) and organized between all the supervisors in turn according to their number.

In order to support users in the best possible way, you will benefit from a three-day and a half training course, one day of which will be dedicated to a prevention & emergency course, making this job offer open to any profile, since you don't need to have any specific skills or pre-requisites. However, you must successfully complete the training, which is also a recruitment stage.
