Detailed programme:
This programme includes:
- A Cuban popular dance course: Cuban salsa/popular styles (hits, cha-cha, mambo, pilón, comparsa, casino-salsa, rueda). 2 levels.

- An Afro-Cuban dance course: Occidente styles (oricha yoruba…) and Oriente styles (“free-Haitians”).

Options: Cuban percussions and Afro-Cuban singing

It is possible to make a complete course of dance, percussion or another instrumental practice, or to mix music and dance.

Professors are all Cubans and are selected for their competence and their experience of teaching dance courses. They belong to the important traditional groups of Cuba or teach in the national school of Arts.
Reorganized each year, the training course allows a privileged contact with the musicians and dancers. The relationship with the Cuban population is established on the best possible bases.
The courses combine a programme of discovering musical richness. Participants are in contact with the music, the dance and the Cuban culture every day, such as concerts and peñas, congas, view of the Cuban instruments, vieja trova, Yoruba Ceremony!

Day 1:
Welcome at the airport, transfer and settling in with the host family.
Cocktail party to welcome the new participants.

Days 2 to 7:
Breakfast 8.30
Classes from 10 to 12: 2 hours of salsa every day with local professional dance teachers plus a dance partner for each student, in a dance hall near where the student is staying.
Free time for lunch
Guided visit in the Havana city in the afternoon.
Dinner and evening in the host family

Day 8:

Afternoon free for catching flight

Place: The dance hall is located in the heart of the Havana, near the monuments of the city. A few minutes from the Capitole, the Place of the Revolution and the Havana Vieja area.

Duration: 8 days / 7 nights

Accommodation: Homestay accommodation with local families. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Double or single room (supplement for a single room 80€).
You will have a half board accommodation: breakfast and dinner with your host family.

Mon séjour à Cuba a été très agréable, j'ai adoré les cours de salsa cubaine et la compagnie de Jandy qui était mon guide tout au long de mon séjour. Malgré mon espagnol très limité les membres de la famille ont été très patients et d'une extrême gentillesse. Je n'ai qu'une hâte d'y retourner!! Merci à tous pour ce superbe séjour!!

« La havane : une destination politico-culturel qui vaut le détour.
Des monuments historiques qui rappellent le chemin vers la liberté aux voitures d’un autre temps et de José Marti à Elvis Presley, la Havane est avant tout artistique.
De l’ancienne génération qui vénère le « Che » à la nouvelle qui n’a que « deux amours : son pays et Paris » comme mon très cher guide Djandy Venta Nazsco, étudiant à l’alliance française, c’est la « Casino » (salsa cubaine) qui unie toutes les générations. Le reggaeton est en revanche très présent dans les taxis.
« Liberté, égalité, fraternité » sonne désormais comme un refrain cubain dont le drapeau est aussi bleu, blanc, rouge. »
