As every year, the permanent team of the LE MAT association in Viel Audon is organising a week-long volunteer project for all ages and all audiences to enjoy a time of sharing and working together.

What is it? (for a maximum of 16 volunteers) 

    Five busy days: from Monday 23 February at 4pm (welcome at the hamlet of Viel Audon, on the terrace of the farm shop) until Sunday 1 March in the early afternoon.
    A large dose of good humour and motivation.
    Some DIY, gardening and cooking tools (we provide most of the equipment, but your skills are welcome!).
    Shared meals prepared together, at a price you choose (thanks to the little piggy bank at the lodge).
A warm lodge to rest in after your hard work.


What will we be doing?
There's something for everyone, and you can try your hand at a variety of activities:
    Work on the educational garden: maintaining green spaces, installing irrigation, fitting out the tool shed and wood store.
    Outdoor work in connection with the Viel Audon farm: details to follow.
    Painting doors in the reception centre (indoors).
    Cooking to feed the troops (and 1 day of legume processing).
    And lots of other small projects

On well-organised days (half a day of independent work is planned): 
7am - 8.45am: Breakfast
9am - 9.15am: Allocation of work sites for the day
9.15am - 12pm: Work site
12pm - 2pm: Lunch break
2pm - 4pm: Work
4pm - 7.30pm: Free time, etc.
7.30pm - 8.30pm: Dinner
Enjoyable evenings planned: games, films and good company!


Pay what you want: 
As in previous years, we ask for a voluntary contribution, including meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) that you will have during the work camp. A money box will be available in the dining room of the gîte. This is to support the association, given the increase in prices that are impacting our activity, and we thank you in advance for your support! Bring cheques, cash, coins, whatever you like. If this prevents you from coming, we can discuss it.

Some bonus information:
✨ This project is not supervised by professionals; we are sometimes novices ourselves on the projects we offer, but together we manage to experiment and achieve our goals! We don't expect you to have any particular technical skills either. The golden rule: learn by doing!
