Detailed programme

Get in touch with the local community and discover Thai culture while making a positive contribution!

This immersive programme offers the opportunity to contribute to improving the daily lives of kindergarten and elementary school students attending public schools in rural areas around Hua Hin, a seaside resort located about 125 miles south of Bangkok.
Although these schools are free, they often lack human and financial resources.
Volunteers provide support in the areas of construction and renovation of schools or community centers, improvement of sanitary facilities, painting, furniture repair, creation of playgrounds, etc.
Volunteers participate in useful work that improves community infrastructure and, by extension, the lives of students.
At the same time, volunteers acquire essential construction skills and techniques as they work alongside experienced coordinators.

Supervision and support:
The programme is organized by The Green Lion, an organization recognized for the quality of its volunteer projects. The experienced and welcoming local team ensures that the stay runs smoothly and supports participants in their projects.

Good to know

Before starting this programme, we strongly recommend taking part in the cultural week offered by The Green Lion, dedicated to discovering Thai culture.
This immersive experience provides valuable insight into local customs, traditions, basic language skills, cuisine, and the core values of respect for living beings and nature.
Serving as a meaningful preparation, this cultural programme is an enriching and essential step before continuing with one of the volunteer programmes offered by our partner.

The programmes offered in Thailand can be combined to explore different projects and locations. Programmes are available in Hua Hin, Chiang Mai, and Koh Samui. Combining programmes also helps reduce costs, as a single week is more expensive than a two-week programme, which is offered at a more advantageous rate. Finally, The Green Lion programmes are open to all audiences, including families.
