Our local partner
This project is led by the Association Defensores del Chaco Pypore, a Paraguayan organization committed to protecting protected areas and promoting the invaluable work of park rangers.
The association is particularly active in the Paraguayan Chaco, a region of exceptional ecological richness that faces numerous environmental threats.
Through various volunteer programs, Defensores del Chaco Pypore works to preserve biodiversity and raise awareness among local communities about the importance of protecting their natural heritage.

* from November to February, the ideal time to see particularly active biodiversity.

Th Ybycui National Park is in the south of Paraguay
The programme fee includes:
Minimum age: 18 years old (or 15 years old with parental consent).
Physical requirements: Moderate. You do not need to be an athlete, but you should enjoy outdoor activities and feel comfortable walking in warm and humid conditions.
You will stay in shared accommodation close to the park alongside other participants. Meals are included and prepared to accommodate different dietary requirements, with vegetarian and vegan options available upon request.
Life on site is simple and welcoming. You will share your daily life with local teams, discover Paraguayan culture and enjoy a preserved natural environment, perfect for disconnecting from everyday life and creating meaningful connections.
Laundry service is not included, but facilities and supplies are available for washing clothes.
