Volunteers work five days a week, for around four to five hours a day, and have two days off.

The programme lasts for a minimum of one week; there is no maximum duration. Some people stay for eight months.
There are three bedrooms with sturdy, handcrafted solid-wood bunk beds for two people, and one bedroom with a double bed for couples; there are plans to build another building in the near future.

In Suriname, only Paramaribo, the capital, is a city; the rest are large villages. The volunteer placement is located about 10 minutes from Tamanredjo, 1 hour from Paramaribo and 1½ hours from Albina.
465€ the first week. For a 4-week stay, you only pay for 3 weeks. Accommodation and daily meals are included.
Dutch and English are spoken fluently, and there is also some knowledge of French, Spanish and German, making it easy to communicate in any of these languages.
Skills: A love of animals and/or plants. Not being afraid to get a bit dirty. A sense of adventure. There is no minimum age.
All meals, tea or coffee and water are included.
