This programme offers an ideal blend of cultural learning and relaxation.
Located in the charming seaside resort of Hua Hin, this immersive programme offers a unique opportunity to dive into the heart of Thai culture. Thailand, nicknamed the ‘land of smiles’, is renowned for its rich traditions, spiritual heritage and legendary hospitality.
The experience alternates between mornings of guided activities — such as visiting temples, Thai cooking classes or exploring local markets — and free afternoons for relaxation and personal exploration. This balanced schedule allows you to fully immerse yourself in local customs while enjoying the country's natural beauty.
Between sacred temples, bustling markets, peaceful beaches and delicious cuisine, you will develop an authentic understanding of the Thai way of life. Whether you are planning an extended stay or simply want to discover the local culture, this programme offers the perfect balance between learning, discovery and relaxation.
It is also an ideal introduction before continuing your adventure through one of the volunteer programmes offered by The Green Lion (environment, school activities or renovation projects).
Highlights of the programme:
- Cultural excursions: explore Hua Hin's iconic sites, learn about Thai customs and language, and discover the secrets of traditional local cuisine.
- Buddhist temples: visit wats to gain a better understanding of Thai Buddhism and take part in the morning offering of food to the monks.
- Local markets: immerse yourself in everyday Thai life by browsing the popular markets, hubs of local life, and savour a variety of typical street food specialities.
- Beaches: enjoy vast white sandy beaches, ideal for relaxation, with breathtaking views of the coastline.
- Heritage and history: explore ancient temples and Hua Hin's rich cultural heritage to gain a better understanding of Thailand's history and identity.
