Immersive experiences

Over the years, the association has developed a range of participatory stays always with the aim of offering the best possible immersion while giving real meaning to one's travel. Our tutoring, volunteering, eco-volunteering programmes and linguage & cultural programmes give you the opportunity to explore new environmentally friendly practices, take part in animal and environmental protection projects, and practice foreign languages at an affordable cost. 

These programmes are generally longer than the workshops, usualy lasting a month or more.

This involves volunteering on a local project by taking part in daily activities such as agriculture & permaculture, food processing, service, welcoming visitors, maintenance, wood working, animal care and protection, tutoring and more. These immersions allow you to play an active role in the everyday life of the communities you visit while making yourself useful. They are also an excellent opportunity to practice foreign languages and gain international professional experience, highly valuable on a CV/résumé! Note that these immersions may also lead to the signing of internship agreements.

As with the workshops, the prices of participatory stays are set according to the proposals of local partners.

Some partners need to make investments and incur expenses in order to host participants, which explains the variations in the financial contributions requested locally. This is why the term "volunteering" does not always seem appropriate to describe these programmes because it usually implies a selfless commitment whereas international partners needs funds to sustain their projects and most cannot afford to  host you free of charge.

Even when labelled as "volunteering", these programmes should be understood as learning experiences. You benefit from local guidance and they offer incredible opportunities to practice languages in a meaningful and highly rewarding context.

However, Aliore makes sure to select partners who have affordable rates, in order to allow as many people as possible to take part in these immersive programmes.

Finally, the association directly manages some programmes such as the tutoring & volunteering programmes in France, placements in UK or USA.

The fees for these programmes are paid entirely to ALIORE which operates without subsidies. Registration fees for these programmes enable the association to function as a whole and to offer you this rich range of immersive activities.
